From a young age, I have had a deep connection with nature and a profound curiosity to explore its processes and our relationship within it. This fascination led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in Enviornmental Science and Natural Resource Management. Following a period of travel to Asia, ensuing personall illness and exposure to traditional Eastern medicines, I shifted my curiosity inward and embarked on the study of this ancient and relevant medical system.

I am inspired to help people rekindle their self-curiosity, to understand their health-promoting/degradation tendencies, to help foster a deeper relationship with nature, and to help people make tangible connections to the physical, mental and emotional processes within ourselves. My therapeutic intention and therefore lifelong purpose is to continue to help myself and others, evolve in health from a place of self exploration, innate wisdom and wonder.

I am Registered with the Nova Scotia Association of Acupuncturists and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of BC. I have successfully completed the Pan-Canadian Licensing Exams required by regulated provinces (BC, AB, ON, QC, & NL). Further, I am a sincere advocate of TCM education and have been involved as both an instructor and administrator of a Chinese Medicine College in B.C.

She is passionate about helping others find ease and comfort in their own bodies and has found that working in these modalities can have a long-lasting impact on the nervous system, helping the body to achieve deep rest and unlock the body’s own wisdom in finding healing pathways and homeostasis. Kate’s experience as a contemporary dance artist provides her with a refined physical awareness and sensitivity as a therapist.

Kate completed her advanced training in Cranial Sacral Therapy with practitioner and teacher, Robert Harris of the Cranial Therapy Centre in Toronto. Emily’s keen interest in the human body ands its relationship to nature first led her to studying Biology and Psychology at Acadia University. From there, she felt pulled to something deeper. She followed this inner calling to the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine where she thrived in the holistic approach to health and wellness.

She graduated in 2013 and now has a vibrant practice where she loves to explore the relationship between the seasons and her clients states of health. Emily works with her clients to unlock their healing potential and return their body to an optimal state of being. She takes a deep listening, intuitive approach that incorporates acupuncture with reiki, cupping, gua sha and moxibustion.
