Melissa works one on one with clients, to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses the symptoms and causes of illness.

Yoga therapy is a wholistic health practice that is well suited to treat a variety of physical, mental and emotional conditions.

From a young age, I have had a deep connection with nature and a profound curiosity to explore its processes and our relationship within it. This fascination led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in Enviornmental Science and Natural Resource Management. Following a period of travel to Asia, ensuing personall illness and exposure to traditional Eastern medicines, I shifted my curiosity inward and embarked on the study of this ancient and relevant medical system.

I am inspired to help people rekindle their self-curiosity, to understand their health-promoting/degradation tendencies, to help foster a deeper relationship with nature, and to help people make tangible connections to the physical, mental and emotional processes within ourselves. My therapeutic intention and therefore lifelong purpose is to continue to help myself and others, evolve in health from a place of self exploration, innate wisdom and wonder.

I am Registered with the Nova Scotia Association of Acupuncturists and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of BC. I have successfully completed the Pan-Canadian Licensing Exams required by regulated provinces (BC, AB, ON, QC, & NL). Further, I am a sincere advocate of TCM education and have been involved as both an instructor and administrator of a Chinese Medicine College in B.C.

She is passionate about helping others find ease and comfort in their own bodies and has found that working in these modalities can have a long-lasting impact on the nervous system, helping the body to achieve deep rest and unlock the body’s own wisdom in finding healing pathways and homeostasis. Kate’s experience as a contemporary dance artist provides her with a refined physical awareness and sensitivity as a therapist.

Kate completed her advanced training in Cranial Sacral Therapy with practitioner and teacher, Robert Harris of the Cranial Therapy Centre in Toronto.
